Privacy Policy
Optimer processes file names, paths, sizes, timestamps, hashes, installed-app information, performance measurements, and selected browser data entirely on your Mac. This information is used only to provide the scans, reports, safety checks, and cleanup actions you request.
No data collection
Optimer does not transmit personal data or usage data off your Mac. It has no analytics, advertising, tracking, user accounts, or third-party data SDKs, and it does not sell or share your information.
Folder access
Optimer accesses folders only after you select or authorize them. Security-scoped bookmarks are stored locally so scheduled features can keep working. You can revoke folder access from Optimer's Access settings or from macOS System Settings.
Information stored on your Mac
Preferences, cleanup history, reports, audit records, and recovery snapshots remain on your Mac. You can clear cleanup history in the History window, revoke folder permissions in Access settings, delete exported reports in Finder, and remove remaining app data by uninstalling Optimer and deleting ~/Library/Containers/com.optimizemac.app.
Media and Apple Music libraries
Optimer may request read-only access to identify media files, calculate their storage use, and show them in its media finder so you can review large files before taking action. It does not play, upload, or alter songs, playlists, favorites, or listening activity. Optimer excludes managed Apple Music and media-library content from automatic cleanup.
Changes to this policy
If Optimer's data practices change, this page will be updated before those changes take effect. The effective date above identifies the current version.
